Description
Paulina Krajnik, CSA is a casting director who works in Poland and internationally from her office in Warsaw since 2011.
Paulina has been working with recognized directors - Agnieszka Holland („1983” Netflix series) or Jerzy Skolimowski („EO” feature awarded in Cannes FF in 2022), but main number of productions in her credits are awarded and critically-acclaimed first feature films such as:
„Girl from a Wardrobe” 2012, dir. Bodo Kox
„Nina” 2018, dir. Olga Chajdas
„The Getaway King” 2021, dir. Mateusz Rakowicz
„Prime Time” 2021, dir. Jakub Pi¹tek
„Other People” 2021, dir. Aleksandra Terpiñska.
Paulina began her career as an assistant dorector, working at various movie sets for 10 years. This strong experience in filmmaking gives her valuable perspective in her work.
An important aspect of her work is to bring an open-minded, creative, safe and friendly atmosphere to the process of casting. She underlines the trust and respect between actors and casting directors as a crucial element of the best possible audition.
In addition to casting, Paulina also enjoys coaching and works with acting students in Theatre Academy in Warsaw and shares her experience and perspective with actors at various workshops.
The idea of acknowledging the film industry members about the real meaning and power of casting as creative process is important to her. Thatis why she is a co-founder and a board member of the Polish Casting Dorectors Guild.
